Progressive Arthritis Caused Years of Chronic Pain for Gloria
In 1976, Gloria had a bad car accident that caused significant damage to her back, leaving her in traction for 11 months with tremendous pain.
Eventually, she went back to work as a teacher but had to take many drugs. This continued until 1996 when a ruptured disc and progressive arthritis caused the pain to return.
Over the next ten years, additional surgeries, including a laminectomy followed, yet the pain persisted.
Still off all her meds, Gloria loves getting dressed up and wearing high heels for the first time in many years.
Then she met Dr. Eugene Melvin who told her about HFX, a minimally invasive procedure that starts with a 1-week trial so she could evaluate the relief for herself.
During the trial, Gloria enjoyed significant pain relief and was surprised to find she didn’t need to take her pain medications. She went forward with the implant this March and is doing great. Along with her husband, she even bought a new condo, helped tear out a wall, and is managing all the renovations!
Still off all her meds, Gloria loves getting dressed up and wearing high heels for the first time in many years.
The outcome was so transformative, Channel 6 news in Orlando interviewed Gloria and Dr. Melvin for a special segment. Here’s the video.
Congratulations Gloria and Dr. Melvin on such a successful outcome!
